The background of the Gamma Sports brand

Gamma Sports is a U.S. sports brand with over 50 years of history in manufacturing tennis strings. Armed with deep expertise in materials science, it has expanded from tennis gear into the pickleball market.

Gamma's strength lies in the proprietary technology born from many years of materials research. It has a particular commitment to core material development, pursuing the optimization of feel and performance. It has won a core fan base as an earnest brand that competes on product quality rather than flashy marketing.

Proprietary technology: Sensa Poly Core

The core technology of Gamma paddles is the "Sensa Poly Core." It adds proprietary improvements to ordinary polypropylene honeycomb, and is characterized by a balance that minimizes vibration while maintaining moderate rebound.

Thanks to this technology, unpleasant vibration at impact is reduced, and there's less strain on the hand and elbow even during long play. You can especially feel the effect in situations where repeated impacts continue, such as consecutive volleys anddinkrallies.

A comparison of major models

Gamma NeuCore

Gamma's top model. With NeuCore technology, it achieves a core 30% lighter than previous models while maintaining strength. The lighter core improves the paddle's overall weight balance, making it possible to achieve both handling and power.

The surface has a textured finish, improving spin performance too. It's a high-performance model that satisfies everyone from intermediate to advanced players.

Gamma Obsidian

A mid-range model combining a graphite face with the Sensa Poly Core. Characterized by a stable feel and well-balanced performance, it's ideal for the transition period from beginner to intermediate. The price is affordable too, making it popular as a step-up paddle.

Gamma Voltage

The Voltage series, positioned as an entry model. It firmly covers the basic performance while keeping an accessible price. It's ideal for those who have just started pickleball to choose as "a solid brand's first paddle."

How to choose a Gamma paddle

For beginners, the Voltage series is recommended. First learn the basics of pickleball while exploring your own play style. Once you move up to intermediate, feel the performance with the Obsidian, and if you're aiming for advanced, the ideal flow is to step up to the NeuCore.

Compared with other brands, Gamma is a brand that values solid quality over flashiness. It could be called a maker perfect for those who want a paddle based on reliable materials technology, rather than chasing trendy tech.
