At last, a full-scale dedicated pickleball facility has been born in Kansai too! “Pickleball Base Osaka,” operated by Fundamental Japan (Osaka City), had its grand opening in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, on April 1, 2026. It's a facility billed as one of the largest in western Japan, fully equipped with 6 outdoor courts, and monthly prize-money tournaments are also planned, so the Kansai pickle world looks set to heat up all at once.

Pickleball Base Osaka is located on the 6th floor of Hotel Agora Regency Osaka Sakai, in front of Sakai Station on the Nankai Main Line. While being a station-front location with direct connection from the city center, it boasts a scale of 6 outdoor courts. Train access is easy, and it's easy to gather not only from within Osaka city but also from the Kobe, Kyoto, and Nara directions.
