Facility information
Picklr Tokyo Toyosu is an indoor-only pickleball facility scheduled to open in autumn 2026 in Toyosu, Koto-ku, Tokyo. As Picklr's permanent facility in Japan — the brand originating in the US — the plan calls for seven world-standard indoor courts. Note that as this facility is pre-opening, check future official announcements for the opening date and court details.
The plan calls for seven indoor-only courts, and it's set to be an environment where you can play regardless of the weather. A wide range of uses is envisioned, including reservation-based play, open play, tournaments, leagues, and clinics.
Check future official announcements for the opening date, fees, and reservation methods. Advance membership registration is being announced ahead of the opening.
It's located in Toyosu, Koto-ku, Tokyo. For detailed directions and the latest reservation methods and fees, see the official information (Official website).
Because it is indoor-only, you can play in a stable environment year-round, unaffected by rain, extreme heat, or cold. Being easy to visit to fit your daily rhythm, such as after work or early morning, is also an advantage of indoor facilities.
Many indoor-only courts are reservation-based hourly rentals. If there are paddle and ball rentals, you can start empty-handed, so for your first visit, check whether equipment loans are available for peace of mind.
The dink (a soft, dropping shot) in the non-volley zone (kitchen) near the net is the key to tactics. Being mindful of control rather than power shots makes it easier to seize the initiative in a rally.
Going to the same facility regularly deepens coordination with opponents and partners and speeds up improvement. Because it is a doubles-centered sport, making friends is also part of the fun.
A permanent Picklr facility is planned for the Toyosu area of Tokyo, raising expectations for pickleball in a full-scale indoor environment.
