港区初とされる一般向けピックルボール大会「港区カップ 東京タワーピックルボールフレンドシップ2026 夏-秋」の決勝シリーズが、2026年9月19日（土）と20日（日）に東京タワーの屋上コートで開かれた。実行委員会が9月9日に告知したもので、8月下旬の予選会を勝ち上がった8組が2日間で頂点を争った。19日には子役として知られる永尾柚乃さんがエキシビションに登場し、敬老の日を前に一般公募の参加者と3世代チームを組み、通常の2対2ではなく「3対3」で対戦した。勝ち負けを競う本戦と多世代の遊びを同じ会場に並べたこの構成は、規模の小さいコートを持つ地域でも集客イベントの手本にしやすい。
東京タワーの屋上コートで2日間に何が行われたのか
会場は東京タワーフットタウン屋上の「東京タワーベストアメニティピックルボールコート」。主催は株式会社アスロニア・株式会社ティップネス・株式会社YASU PROJECTで構成する実行委員会で、港区が後援に付いた。両日とも13時から17時までで、司会はフリーアナウンサーの小澤陽子さんが務めた。
予選を勝ち上がった8組が決勝を争った
実行委員会の告知によれば、8月下旬の予選会を経て残った8組が、19日に準々決勝と準決勝を戦い、20日は4組による総当たりで決勝が行われた。一般公募の予選から積み上げてきた勝ち上がり方式で、観客が誰を応援するかを追いやすい。ベストアメニティ株式会社、株式会社りらいぶ、ハリウッド株式会社、株式会社SCOグループ、サントリービバレッジソリューション株式会社が協賛に並び、業務協力に一般財団法人ピックルボール日本連盟、特別協力に株式会社TOKYO TOWERと日本体育施設株式会社が入った。
