This tournament is part of a pickleball-spreading project that Sansan, Inc. carries out in collaboration with TBS and Mitsui Fudosan. Sansan has been promoting pickleball-spreading activities in Japan since February 2024, and bringing in the PPA this time can be called the culmination of that. In July, the opening of one of Tokyo's largest,"Sansan Pickleball Court Ikebukuro,"is also planned in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, and together with the tournament, 2026 could become the first year of pickleball in Japan.
