Facility information
Miyagino Gymnasium is a municipal gymnasium inside the Shinden-higashi Sports Park in Miyagino-ku, Sendai. The Sendai Pickleball Organization uses it as one of its venues for practice sessions and events.
Because it uses a municipal indoor arena, courts are set up for each event rather than being fixed dedicated courts. The organization uses several gymnasiums around the city as venues.
Check the host organization's announcements for the dates of practice sessions and events and how to take part. As it's a public facility, advance registration may be required.
The facility is located at 4-1-1 Shinden-higashi, Miyagino-ku, Sendai, Miyagi. For detailed directions and the latest reservation methods and fees, see the official information (Official website).
Regular sessions and circles held at venues such as public facilities are places where you can casually play with local fellow players. Many groups welcome beginners, and some also lend out equipment.
Because it is held by renting a facility rather than a permanent dedicated court, it is best to check the dates, venue, and how to participate in the organizer's announcements.
Because pickleball has a small court and rallies continue easily, it can be enjoyed regardless of age or exercise experience. First, join a practice session and experience the atmosphere.
Easy-to-move-in clothes and, indoors, non-marking shoes provide peace of mind. Having a drink ready also makes it comfortable.
In Miyagi, practice sessions run by clubs and groups are held actively at gymnasiums around Sendai.
