Truong Vinh Hien (21) is a young player rising rapidly in Vietnam's pickleball scene. With a strong technical base and fighting spirit as his weapons, he has top-class ability in Vietnam and is closing in on the top 20 in the Asia rankings.

Career and record

In 2024 he won the OB Open Pickleball Championships and took three medals at the Asian Championships. In 2025 he won the TBS Cup Binh Phuoc and also claimed the pro men's singles Super Cup title. He also won the PPA Tour Australia men's singles, beating Ly Hoang Nam.

At the 2026 PPA Asia 1000 Hanoi Cup he pulled off a big upset, beating world No. 2 Federico Staksrud 11-7, 4-11, 11-5 to advance past the semifinals. In the final he lost to Ly Hoang Nam 5-11, 6-11, but it was a historic first for a PPA 1000-level event to have an all-Vietnamese final.

His forte is well-balanced play combining powerful strokes and tenacious rally ability. His clutch strength on the big stage also stands out, and his appeal is a mentality that fearlessly takes on higher-ranked players.
