Lara Giltinan is a 39-year-old professional pickleball player from Collaroy Heights, NSW, Australia. She stands 5 feet 7 inches (170cm), is right-handed, and turned pro in 2025. She played tennis at home and abroad as a junior and worked for three years as a tournament manager at Tennis Australia. She then moved to the US and spent the past 10 years running daylife and nightlife venues in Las Vegas.
Career and record
In 2024 a roommate introduced her to pickleball, but out of competitive pride she didn't start for six months. However, a few matches opened her eyes, her competitive instinct reignited within a year, and she decided to switch over in earnest. She currently ranks 15th overall on the PPA Tour, the highest-ranked Australian active in the US and probably one of the highest-ranked Australian pickleball players in the world.
Play style
Her weapons are her tennis experience from junior days and her competitive spirit. A late bloomer, she is a hard-working player who climbed to the world's top class in a short time.
