Hayden Patriquin is a professional pickleball player from Yucaipa, California, born in 2005. At age 13 his grandfather taught him pickleball, and with no racket-sports background he switched from baseball to pickleball. He decided to turn pro at 16 and made his pro debut in 2022.
Career and record
In 2024 he recorded 10 podium finishes and won gold at the Pickleball World Championships in November and the PPA Tour Finals in December. He broke into the world top 8 in both men's doubles and mixed doubles. In 2024 he also achieved the rare feat of beating world No. 1 Ben Johns twice. In the 2025 season he battled elite players in close matches, taking silver at the Zimmer Biomet Masters, the Veolia Cape Coral Open, and the Red Rock Open.

His weapons are lightning-fast reflexes, a relentless two-handed backhand, an explosive serve, and strategic intelligence. He is known for an aggressive and flashy style unusual for someone who switched over with no racket-sports experience.
