CJ Klinger is an 18-year-old (as of 2025) left-handed professional pickleball player from Ohio. He started pickleball when his family moved to southwest Florida when he was 12. He draws attention as one of the youngest-class players in MLP (Major League Pickleball) history.
Career and record
As a member of the MLP Challenger team "SoCal Hard Eights," he won three straight titles and was named MVP twice. In 2025, with the Columbus Sliders (a team with Parris Todd, Lea Jansen, and Andrei Daescu), he won the MLP Premier League, beating the New Jersey 5s 3-1 to take the title. In the playoffs he went undefeated in men's doubles. He also competes in singles and doubles on the PPA Tour, steadily building his career.
Play style
His weapon is unique-angle shots that make use of his left-handedness. With an aggressive style full of youth and energy, he is a fan favorite who captivates the crowd. He is well regarded for his coordination and speed in doubles.
