西武グループがピックルボール事業に参入した。品川プリンスホテル メインタワー10階に、インドアピックルボールコート「SEIBU FAST SPORTS FIELD 品川ピックルボール」を2026年3月23日に開業。宴会場フロアの空間を競技拠点として活用し、品川駅前という立地でパドルとシューズをレンタルして手ぶらでプレーできる施設となっている。運営は西武メディア・コミュニケーションズが担う。
A court on an upper floor of a hotel in front of Shinagawa Station
The facility is on the 10th floor of the Main Tower of the Shinagawa Prince Hotel (4-10-30 Takanawa, Minato-ku, Tokyo). You reach the floor via the banquet-hall elevator. There is one court, measuring 5.2m wide by 13.4m long. Up to eight people can use it; a slot is 50 minutes, and you can book up to two consecutive slots.
営業時間は9:00から22:00まで。ホテルが備える最大2,046㎡の宴会場と隣接しており、パーティー利用と組み合わせて使うことも想定されている。
既存アセットを転用、複合施設に組み込む
運営は株式会社西武メディア・コミュニケーションズ（2025年4月1日に商号変更）。品川プリンスホテルには「マクセル アクアパーク品川」「T・ジョイ PRINCE品川」「ボウリングセンター」などの集客施設が既に集積しており、ピックルボールコートはこの複合エンターテインメント群に新たに加わった形だ。宴会場スペースの活用により、遊休時間帯の施設効率を高める狙いがある。

大手グループによる施設整備
都内では交通利便性の高い場所に競技拠点を構える動きが続いている。鉄道・不動産を基盤とする大手グループの参入は、ピックルボール施設の整備が大企業の事業ポートフォリオに組み込まれる段階に入ったことを示す。既存施設の空間活用により、大型投資なしに拠点化を進める手法も普及する見込みだ。
