Practice session overview

Inunaki PICKLE is a pickleball circle based at the foot of Mount Inunaki in Izumisano, Osaka. It is run by hamotiku. Sessions use the gymnasiums of Izumisano Municipal Daiichi Elementary School and Sanodai Elementary School, the gym annexes of the Northern and Southern Citizens' Exchange Centers, and Osakasayama Municipal Gymnasium. Everyone from first-timers to intermediates can join.

Details

The sessions put the weight on basic drills: roughly the first hour is practice, adjusted to who turns up, and the second half is match play. Matches often run about 30 minutes. Slots of two to three hours fall mainly on weekend and holiday daytimes, with some weekday evenings as well. Courts and nets use badminton equipment, so participants share the setup and takedown. Play is indoors, so rain never cancels a session.

Fees and participation

The fee is 500 yen per person, splitting the court and ball costs among those who attend. Paddles are lent to up to four people at 300 yen. Sanodai Elementary School (1-1 Higashi-sanodai, Izumisano) is about a 10-minute walk along the tracks from Kumatori Station on the JR Hanwa Line, and parking is free.
