About Pickleball
The GODAI Funabashi pickleball taster session is an introductory session for newcomers held at GODAI Funabashi, an indoor tennis school in Funabashi, Chiba. It is run by the GODAI group, which operates tennis and soft tennis schools, and covers everything from the basic rules to fundamental drills in a single session.
Each session runs about 50 minutes and centers on an introduction to the rules and basic strokes. It is aimed at beginners in junior high school and above, and sessions for elementary school grades 3 to 6 are also offered. Recent dates were set mainly in the daytime, on July 15, 16, 18, 21 and 25. (These dates have passed since this article was published. Please check with the organizer for the latest schedule.) Each session takes around 10 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
The fee is 2,200 yen per session (tax included), with shoes and paddles lent out free of charge. The venue is 3-9-27 Yamate, Funabashi, Chiba, about a 10-minute walk from Shin-Funabashi Station on the Tobu Urban Park Line. Applications are taken through GODAI Funabashi's dedicated form.
