Facility information
Nishizaki Gymnasium is a public gymnasium in Itoman, Okinawa, used as a venue for large pickleball tournaments such as the Okinawa Open hosted by the Japan Pickleball Association. Up to 10 courts can be set up in the arena.
The indoor arena is used as a venue for tournaments and practice. As a public facility, use is by reservation.
Check the facility's and organizers' announcements for tournament and use schedules and reservation methods.
It's located at 3-1-1 Nishizaki-cho, Itoman, Okinawa. For detailed directions and the latest reservation methods and fees, see the official information (Official website).
Because a public gymnasium is used as the venue, the dates and the number of usable courts vary by schedule. It is used for tournaments and regular practice sessions.
Because it is not a permanent dedicated court, it is best to check the available dates and reservation method in the facility's or organizer's information.
Because pickleball has a small court and rallies continue easily, it can be enjoyed regardless of age or exercise experience.
Easy-to-move-in clothes and, indoors, non-marking shoes provide peace of mind. Having a drink ready also makes it comfortable.
In Okinawa, the general gymnasium in Itoman has become a major tournament venue and is now one of the centers of pickleball in the prefecture.
