Jaume Martinez Vich is a professional pickleball player from Mallorca, Spain. A former tennis player, he once served as a practice partner for Rafael Nadal. He turned pro in tennis at 16 and played ITF Futures events, then built a college tennis career at Hawaii Pacific University from 2013.

Career and record

He turned pro in pickleball in 2023 and rose rapidly in the PPA Tour rankings. He won silver at the 2023 Biofreeze USA Pickleball National Championships. Rising from the 19 seed, he beat top players one after another, including defeating Jay Devilliers in the semifinals at the Beer City Open. From 2024 he established himself as an elite PPA Tour player, winning medals at multiple tournaments.

Play style

His hallmarks are the powerful strokes bred in tennis and the fighting spirit built in Mallorca. He is especially well regarded for his forehand power and court coverage. With "the power of joy" as his motto, he is known for a style of playing while having fun.
