Callie Jo Smith is a professional pickleball player from Orem, Utah. After playing Division I college tennis at the University of Utah, she switched to pickleball in 2019 and turned pro. Beyond being a player, she is also known as an entrepreneur and co-owner of a pickleball court business.
After turning pro she rose quickly to become one of the top players in the women's pro ranks. As of April 2026 she had played 111 pro tournaments and 532 matches, with a career win rate of 54.7%. She has the steady ability to consistently reach the top of major PPA Tour events.
Her weapon is the aggressive strokes built in tennis. Her hunger to win on court stands out, and her strength is a tenacious, never-give-up style in any situation. She delivers steady performances in both doubles and singles.
She is with ONIX Pickleball. Together with her husband Kyle, she co-founded and runs the pickleball academy "Paddle Up." She also develops a court business across multiple locations as co-owner of "The Kitchen Indoor Pickleball Courts."
She continues to compete on the PPA Tour in the 2025-2026 season. As director of the NIKE pickleball camps, she also leads clinics and training camps, thriving in a triple role as player, coach, and business owner.
