Jade Kawamoto

Profile

Jade Kawamoto is a left-handed professional pickleball player from Maui, Hawaii. Together with her twin sister Jackie Kawamoto, she is drawing attention in the pickleball world. After starring as a D1 tennis player at the University of Dayton, she switched to pickleball in 2019 through her father. She still works full-time as a coordinator at the NCAA Eligibility Center while competing as a pro.

Career and record

She plays women's singles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles on the PPA Tour. In MLP (Major League Pickleball) she belongs to the Los Angeles Mad Drops. In 2025, paired with Jackie, she won her first PPA title in women's doubles at the PPA Cincinnati Showcase. In the semifinals she came back from 4-9 down in Game 3 to beat the Anna Leigh Waters / Anna Bright team. She continues under contract in the 2026 season and has made the top 10 in the power rankings.

Play style

A solid player who makes use of her left-handedness and excels at covering the forehand middle from the right side. Her forte is steady play built on the fundamental skills and footwork honed in tennis.
