Facility information
DPC KOBE (DIADEM PICKLEBALL KOBE) is an indoor pickleball facility in Nagata Ward, Kobe City. It had its grand opening in July 2025 as a facility the US brand DIADEM operates in Japan, with 5 courts inside ITC Kobe Indoor Tennis School.
It has 5 indoor-only courts, so you can play regardless of the weather. It is a large indoor facility widely open to the general public, an environment easy to use for everyone from beginners to experienced players.
The rental court fee is about 4,400 yen per hour as a guideline. Please check the reservation method and availability on the official site.
The address is Wakamatsu-cho 2-1-16, Nagata Ward, Kobe City, Hyogo, inside ITC Kobe Indoor Tennis School. Please check the detailed directions and the latest reservation methods and fees in the official information (Official website).
Because it is indoor-only, you can play in a stable environment year-round, unaffected by rain, extreme heat, or cold. Being easy to visit to fit your daily rhythm, such as after work or early morning, is also an advantage of indoor facilities.
Many indoor-only courts are reservation-based hourly rentals. If there are paddle and ball rentals, you can start empty-handed, so for your first visit, check whether equipment loans are available for peace of mind.
The dink (a soft, dropping shot) in the non-volley zone (kitchen) near the net is the key to tactics. Being mindful of control rather than power shots makes it easier to seize the initiative in a rally.
Going to the same facility regularly deepens coordination with opponents and partners and speeds up improvement. Because it is a doubles-centered sport, making friends is also part of the fun.
In Hyogo, a full-fledged indoor-only facility has come into place in the Kobe area, so you can now enjoy pickleball year-round.
