Catherine Parenteau

Catherine Parenteau (born August 26, 1994)is a professional pickleball player from Montreal, Canada. A former top-5 Canadian junior tennis player, she is a well-rounded athlete who earned a pre-veterinary degree at Michigan State University.

From tennis to pickleball

She started tennis at age 4 and reached the national top 5 in Canadian junior tennis. After enrolling on the NCAA Division I tennis team at the University of Arkansas, she transferred to Michigan State. In 2015 her college tennis coach Simone Jardim introduced her to pickleball, and about six months later she won the 5.0 mixed bracket at the US Open and made her pro debut.
