Federico Staksrud (born February 15)is a professional pickleball player from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He started tennis at age 5 and reached a ranking of 7th in Argentina's U18 category. As of November 2025 he hadPPA Tourachieved world No. 1 in both men's singles and doublesworld No. 1, the first pickleball world champion from South America.

From tennis to pickleball
After continuing to compete in tennis at several US universities (the University of New Orleans, Tennessee Wesleyan University, and others), he earned a master's degree in information systems at Florida Gulf Coast University. Following stints as a tennis coach and at a software company, he switched to pickleball in 2021. He grew rapidly through practice with top players such as Simone Jardim and Kyle Yates.
The road to world No. 1
He rose to prominence on the PPA Tour, and in November 2025, in men's doubles with Hayden Patriquin, he wongold at the Jenius Bank Pickleball World Championships. He stood at world No. 1 in both men's singles and doubles.
