She started tennis in childhood and competed in national and international tournaments from age 9. At 18 she earned a full scholarship to Winthrop University (South Carolina), later transferring to the University of Louisville (Kentucky). She ranks 20th in PPA Tour women's doubles.<\/p>\n<h3>Play style<\/h3>\n<p>Her signature shot is the backhand flick, a shot common in men's doubles but rare in women's doubles, which she wields as a weapon. She also effectively uses the slice she was good at in her tennis days.
