He is the older brother, and his younger brother<a href=\"\/en\/player\/ben-johns\/\">Ben Johns<\/a>is also known as the greatest player in pickleball history. As a former pro tennis player, he competed for five years and recorded career highs of 978th in the world in ATP singles and 939th in doubles.<\/p>\n<h2>From tennis to pickleball<\/h2>\n<p>As an assistant coach for the Florida Gulf Coast University tennis team, he led it to the 2019 Atlantic Sun Conference title and an NCAA tournament appearance.
